is an Assistant Professor of Literacy in the Isabelle Farrington College of Education at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Kristin is a former elementary classroom teacher, literacy coach, state level administrator, and Chair of the Literacy Department at Manhattanville College. She also provides consultant services throughout the New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey areas supporting teachers and literacy coaches. She has published in The Reading Teacher and Reading & Writing Quarterly. Kristin currently is coeditor of The Language and Literacy Spectrum, the journal of the New York State Reading Association, with her literacy department colleagues. Kristin is also a co-author of Changing Suburbs, Changing Students: Helping School Leaders Face the Challenges (Corwin). Most importantly, Kristin is a mother of three young boys, who keep her curious, grounded, and humble. Kristin is proud to be a member of the board of directors for Give More Hugs, because it is her firm belief that EVERY child deserves the opportunity to be engaged, empowered and transformed through education.
